June 20, 2012 - December 31, 2012 2012 KS CONCEALED CARRY CLASSES 2012 KS CONCEALED CARRY CLASSES Bass Pro Shops Olathe offers the official training courses for law abiding citizens to qualify for their Kansas resident and Florida nonresident concealed carry licenses. Taught by certified instructor Kay Curtis, the course includes lecture, participation, demonstration, shooting a target and a written exam. The $150 tuition includes a $20 gift card to Bass Pro Shops, and certificates of completion in both the Kansas and Florida formats plus a passport photo. Residents of any state may take the course to qualify for the Florida permit, but only Kansas residents will qualify for the Kansas permit. Classes are held in the Conservation Room of the Olathe store beginning at 8:30 a.m. and finishing at a private outdoor shooting range at 6:00 p.m. on the following Saturdays in 2012: January 14, February 11, March 24, April 14, May 12, June 23, July 21, August 18, September 22, October 13, November 10, December 8. On each Kansas class date from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. is an optional 1-hour Florida Paperwork Seminar. The tuition of $45 covers highlights of the Florida statute, the application and fingerprint card with instructions for completing them in class, notary services, passport photo, and a pre-addressed and postage paid envelope to mail the application packet to Florida. The Florida nonresident concealed carry permit is for 7 years, is portable when moving from state to state, and appeals to Kansans who want ten states added to those who recognize their Kansas license.
